Crouched from the landing, he waits. No Lights, No movement. Nothing.
Standing up he climbs back onto the railing and reaches a hold of floor above and pulls himself using his feet to climb up the side of the building to the balcony above, the sliding glass door opens.
“I’m sorry you feel that way,” a man says as matter fact stepping out onto the balcony.
“It’s not really how I feel. It’s exactly the opposite. I don’t feel anything at all. That’s the problem.” she says unattached.
“Well it appears that I’ve had a completely different experience. It changed my life,” his words becoming passionate as he looks into her eyes.
Zer_0 slowly begins stepping his feet back down the wall as slow as a sloth.
“Yeah, maybe were just not meant to be together,” she says unconvincingly. “I don’t think I can be with a man who feels such emotion for… a Monet painting.” She looks and him and they both begin to laugh hysterically.
A high pitched whirling sound comes from around the corner as an autonomous drone makes its way around the building. She gets uncomfortable as it gets close to their balcony, “I really hate those things. Let’s go back inside.” They turn to go inside and the drone drops down out of sight, hovering now right where Zer_0 is dangling from the balcony.
“Just great!” he says under his breath.
